Raining cats and dogs in Aussie Land!!!!

Well here it is first photo of me in Oz with the Canadian girlies and I look well ......sh*t!!! Ha ha!!!! What can I say I hadn't finished work til 5pm, then rush to Rozelle, then I went to see to shared accomodation and then I had to meet the girlies!!! This picture is not the best and I have stolen it from Jenn on Facebook........i think you can just about see the teapot, but just in case the following pic will give you a better idea.....classy place I was in you know ha ha!!! In this photo the lovely Lesley shows us how to drink cocktail from a teapot....love it!!!!!!

The last photo I have is of me Vanessa and Jenn drinking these very interesting shots.... that was about 1am, and I really do look as though I am ready for a hard day of grafting at work.....what can I say I am on a working holiday visa......well until I find a company kind enough to sponsor me (hint hint wink wink and even a nudge nudge might as well!!!)

I am supposed to be going out with these girlies in a few weeks time so hopefully there will be more photos on my blog to come!!!

I had a REALLY REALLY good day at work yesterday (lets just say the 2nd November so it does not confuse anyone!!!). Basically hard day of grafting in the morning, and then as a monthly 'chore' at ING we had an afternoon with free drinks, cakes, crisps and tim tam's (Aussie version of our Penguin biscuit!!!!). Now I'm not sure if its just me, but monthly events like that make me even more eager to go to work and try my hardest, and besides it would have been rude to say no to the drinks and food, and I really want to make a good impression don't I!!!!!! Luckily,I didn't drink that much, and I think that was a good thing as I had one on one conversations with a couple of the big bosses............I don't think I mumbled any 'I love you's' or 'please help me stay in the country' hiccup hiccup!!!! ...........................however, whilst we are still on that note, the Melbourne Cup is on this tuesday coming!!!! My bosses have already confirmed that they are basically going to be paying us to go into work and basically, drink all day, play games and eat more food..........the exact sentence uttered was that 'Australia is stopping for the day' and deadlines are just not important.................now if I was in the UK I would definately be urging people to have an australian day!!!!! I think I will hide under the desk or something on tuesday, just in case I do feel like a heart to heart with the bosses.............I think I will just hide behind me six foot colleague Anthony ha ha!!!!

At this precise moments its Saturday afternoon and I have just been treated to a home made sunday lunch..............now again I am not one to say no to food, drink or whatever is going!!! Its raining really bad here at the moment so no Bondi, Coogee, Manly or Palm beach for me today grrrrrr!!!!! I would have loved to go over there on the ferry and even go to the little fair.........but no it has to rain!!!!! Not sure what to do today because rain in Sydney is ten times worse than rain back home...basically you get drenched straight away and I have a habit of falling in the middle of the street because the floor is so slippery and my cute little ballet shoes don't have a chance at all !!! To be honest its quite nice not doing anything really because I have been on the go since I got here, so time out just having a wander round Rozelle is nice, and because the weather is far from amazing its not as though I am missing out on much really is it!!!! It was quite late when i got in from work with the whole drinking at work ( I know I can't stop going on about it ha ha!!!) I just had time to open a bottle of vino and watch Neighbours and Home & Away.....love it!!!! I know what is happening before everyone now, but apparently there is a channel dedicated to Uk programmes so you lot are six months advance of me with Corrie and Eastenders.......but how awful is this ............we don't get Hollyoaks grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

Might do something random and go to the pub on my own.......its so funny because you have to sit by the bar and then make conversation with a random person.......in my case I started talking to a man from Switzerland called Fabiene...........he was a nice enough man in his thirites, but I think he thought that he could have anyone in bar.......I sure hope my rejection did not affect his ego ha ha!!!!! The other plan is to go to Chinatown, I pass the place everyday but I never seem to go there............but saying that it is getting quite late and the shops might not be open for that long............................gosh isn't it nice to know that there is so much to do and I can decide when and with who I want to do stuff with.
